We are committed to making a positive difference in children’s lives, fostering their growth, and enhancing their overall well-being. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our incredible children. Discover the extraordinary role of making a difference in the lives of children. At our base in Swansea, we invite individuals with a nurturing spirit and exceptional patience to join our team. Your compassionate nature will empower our children as they navigate through challenging circumstances. You will guide them on their educational journey, supporting development at school, providing unwavering support in their endeavours. Plus, there are plenty of exciting projects to get involved in!

What are we looking for?

You’ll need:

A flexible approach A genuine enthusiasm and commitment for working with children Patience A can-do attitude Compassion and empathy A caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact Ability to relate well to children and build positive and respectful relationships that are on a professional level To be able to show initiative

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children To hold a current valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle to get yourself to/from schools and services as public transport is too unreliable and sporadic in this area A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team Excellent organisational skills Basic IT competence for record keeping and communication purposes, including Teams and Outlook Reflective practice skills Willingness to attend or engage in professional development opportunities Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Responsibilities:

Implement individualised intervention plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation Developing strong, positive working relationships with the rest of the Adenydd Team and also our partners such as schools, services, and families To be highly motivated and play an active part in our hardworking, dedicated team To be reliable To be committed to team work and maintaining high standards To be patient and thorough whilst also having high expectations for progress

What difference will you make?

You will be joining a welcoming team and organisation. We aim to be a charity of choice for volunteering and offer excellent support and opportunities including in-house training to help attract and keep the very best volunteer team and we offer plenty of development opportunities. We are seeking dedicated volunteers and experienced Teaching Assistants or Support Workers to support the delivery of our exciting projects in schools. You will be joining a committed and enthusiastic team who are delivering existing projects and developing new projects to support children. Your role will be to support children to develop their sensorimotor, sensory regulation and/or social-emotional skills. You will work with the children alongside the Adenydd team and school staff.
