You will be helping us to document and define the scope, and identify and manage resources (volunteers and 3rd parties) to support the delivery of one or several projects in our bid to restore all 70 miles of the Wilts & Berks canal.

What will you be doing?

Manage local canal restoration and community engagement projects in accordance with a defined scope. Agree and document the project scope, risks and issues using the Trust’s Project Control Document template. Manage the work of contractors when these are deployed to deliver canal restoration projects. Manage the volunteer members of the Branch in their delivery of canal restoration and community engagement projects. Ensure compliance with the Trust’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, with particular reference to safe working by any volunteer or 3rd party workforce. Prepare and circulate a monthly project progress report using the Trust’s reporting template. Attend monthly Branch meeting (or the Master Projects and Programmes meeting) if required to report on project status. Maintain, collaborate and promote good working relationships with other Project Managers. Maintain good document management standards, aligned with the Trust’s guidance and templates. Maintain financial records applicable to the projects being managed, whether that is appropriate expenses/costs or forecast information. Maintain good working relationships and seek guidance from other members of the Trust, including members of the Trust’s Executive Team Manage and liaise with external 3rd parties, contractors, planning officers, local authority officers, local public amenity groups and utility providers as necessary
