What will you be doing?
As the Legal Advisor for enABLE Foundation UK, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our mission to reduce the impact of dementia globally. Working closely with the board, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the foundation's activities, initiatives, and collaborations are consistent with prevailing legal frameworks and uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Legal Guidance: Provide comprehensive legal advice to the board on various topics, ensuring that the foundation's strategies and actions comply with applicable laws and regulations. Policy Development: Assist in formulating, reviewing, and updating the foundation's internal policies, ensuring they reflect best practices and adhere to legal norms. Contract Review: Oversee and advise on drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and agreements with partners, vendors, and other stakeholders. Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks in the foundation's operations and propose preemptive measures or solutions to mitigate those risks. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the foundation complies with all local, national, and international regulations related to non-profit operations, fundraising, and dementia care advocacy. Litigation Management: Provide counsel on legal matters that might arise, representing the foundation when necessary and guiding the board on appropriate courses of action. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with the board and other foundation members to liaise with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, to ensure that the foundation's interests are adequately represented. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that might impact the foundation, ensuring that the board is informed and prepared for any shifts in the legal landscape.
