What will you be doing?

This role involves engaging with donors, supporters, and the community to raise funds and increase awareness of BMF's mission to empower vulnerable children through education. The Fundraising and Advocacy Specialist will play a crucial role in driving sustainable funding and advocating for positive change in the lives of those we serve. Key Responsibilities: 1. Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with BMF's goals and values. 2. Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, supporters, and partners. Communicate BMF's impact and funding needs effectively. 3. Grant Research and Proposal Writing: Identify grant opportunities, conduct research, and prepare compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations and other funding sources. 4. Fundraising Events: Assist in planning and organizing fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to generate support and donations for BMF's programs. 5. Advocacy Initiatives: Work closely with the advocacy team to raise awareness of issues affecting vulnerable children and advocate for positive policy changes. 6. Digital Fundraising: Utilize digital platforms and social media to implement online fundraising campaigns and engage with supporters. 7. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and fundraising data in BMF's databases. 8. Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across fundraising and advocacy efforts. 9. Impact Reporting: Assist in preparing impact reports for donors and stakeholders, demonstrating the outcomes and successes of BMF's programs. 10. Research and Trends: Stay informed about fundraising best practices, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.

What are we looking for?

- Passion for BMF's mission of empowering vulnerable children through education. - Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or advocacy roles (preferred, but not required). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with donors and stakeholders effectively. - Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously. - Knowledge of fundraising tools, techniques, and platforms. - Creative and resourceful mindset with a strategic approach to fundraising and advocacy. - Proficiency in using digital platforms and social media for fundraising campaigns. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment.
