Houst is an exciting and dynamic company searching for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their team in Cape Town. In this role, you would be integral to maintaining the accuracy, compliance and integrity of our financial records which supports strategic decision-making in the company.
Role Summary:

  • Management of Accounts payable function
  • Performing reconciliations
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Handling of Invoice processing, payment processing and financial reporting
  • Engaging in internal collaboration and problem resolution

Role Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in finance
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience with invoice processing, payment runs and bank reconciliations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
  • Strong Excel skills

Houst is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team in Cape Town. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial records, which supports the company's financial health and strategic decision-making.

The role: As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts payable function, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your daily tasks will include invoice processing and management, payment processing, financial reporting, and compliance. You will also be involved in process improvement, cash flow and forecasting, risk management, and collaboration and problem resolution with other teams.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in finance, a degree in Finance or Accounting, and preferably a professional qualification. You should have experience with invoice processing, payment runs, bank reconciliations, and be proficient in accounting software and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite. Strong Excel skills are essential.
