What will you be doing?
Supporting with teaching people basic tech knowledge using digital devices such as laptops, tablets /Ipads or phones Supporting /guiding someone to navigate through the weekly topics such as setting up emails, learning social media etc Supporting individuals to use their tech devices safely Supporting residents on a one to one basis weekly for 8 weeks Developing and maintaining positive relationships with residents enabling them to build confidence Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times Residents should feel more confident in using their devices
What are we looking for?
Technical knowledge and experience IT skills to support others to set up basic accounts such as email etc or zoom Patience Good time management, being able to manage your time wisely Good organisational skills Great team-working skills Great initiative skills
What difference will you make?
Your input will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, community, stakeholders, funders and general public. With your help we will be able to continue to offer digital engagement sessions to enable those who are not confident in using technology , this will enable them to build confidence and perhaps utilise their devices to engage in further opportunities such as work, courses and learning a new skill.
