What will you be doing?

This holder of this role will help MyHealthnet (MHN) grow its financial resources and unlimited income (Priority). Assist with the raising of other resources (e.g., restricted funds for programmes, sponsorship).   Capacity Building and Funding-raising role The Capacity Building teams’ role is to build the capacity of MHN charity in all target areas. The Funding Applications must be well written, presented and timely submitted for approval before submission.  To work face-to-face primarily with funders, sponsors, and donors.  Sending funding newsletters to a large cross-section of the third sector.   Act as Funding Application Officer offer funding advice and support to executives and staff, and submit applications to various funding bodies. The capacity-building team will consist of five staff with a lead (2 Fundraisers’ Advisers, a Community, Development and capacity-building Officer, a property officer, and a trustee support officer who supports the local network and provides training. Key Tasks

Lead in coordinating, managing, and implementing activities aimed at maximising MHN unrestricted income Assess fundraising priorities Build MHN base of individual supporters Maximise unrestricted income from grant-giving charitable trusts Identify, manage and implement fundraising sources like gift fundraising, events, raffles, and legacies... Co-ordinate the drafting, design and production of fundraising materials and appeals, drawing on staff and other sources Develop, manage, and maintain MHN's fundraising database for efficient fundraising Send MHN messages to potential donors, supporters, and staff. Maintain contact with staff, Trustees, and supporters to improve the outcome Stay Connected, and maintain good fundraising practice Contribute to MHN strategy, branding, and communications, to improve the flow of sustainable income Liaise sensitively with MHN staff and stakeholders to ensure the harmonious integration of fundraising.

Main Areas of Responsibility: Advice, ​​​​Production of Information and resources, Networking, Training, Team Working, Monitoring and Evaluation, and general duties.

What are we looking for?

Essential

At least 2 years’ track record of relevant charity fundraising Infectious commitment to MyHealthnet cause Demonstrable capacity for hard work, efficient administration, and effective delivery IT and fundraising software skills Self-driven, and resilient Excellent written and verbal communication skills Emotionally intelligent working with colleagues and stakeholders

Desirable

Skilled national fundraiser  Expert in charity development issues Experience in project design, costing and fundraising Experience with Sexual Health and Teenage Pregnancy issues locally, Nationally, and Internationally

Competencies/Skills required Experience

3+ years of varied leadership experience in third-sector organisations of all sizes. Experienced working within an Equal Opportunities Policy. Experience in delivering capacity-building support to voluntary organisations

Knowledge

Good understanding of the changing needs and issues affecting the voluntary and community sector, especially the needs of black and minority ethnic, new, small and emerging groups Knowledge of and ability to advise on funding agencies and common grant procedures and requirements Knowledge of and ability to advise on the management, legal, financial, and charitable requirements of voluntary and community sectors, including black and minority ethnic, new, small and emerging groups, and ability to access necessary information.  Knowledge of and ability to advise on monitoring and evaluation and quality systems which can be used appropriately by voluntary and community organisations and their committees

Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse communities, network, and make presentations including written reports Resourceful, with access to the internet Team player, Flexible working occasional evenings and weekends
