What will you be doing?
The purpose of this role will be to offer young people a safe space to learn about different cultures, engage in team building, self-development, active learning, stress management and art. As a workshop coordinator you will need to be active, organised and ready to work independently as well as within a team.
What are we looking for?
As a workshop coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be to: 1. Deliver a range of face-to-face workshops to young people aged 5-16. 2. Ensure the preparation and smooth running of all workshops and events, including the maintenance of records and necessary administrative tasks. 3. Take a creative approach when contributing to new ideas whilst maintaining the high standards and regulations of the organisation. 4. Support our mentoring programmes in developing resources and facilitating both one-to-one and group sessions with mentors and mentees. 5. Form and maintain excellent relationships with external partners and organisation including volunteers, schools, and councils. 6. Ensure feedback is completed by workshop participants and used to further improve our service. We are looking for someone with: 1. At least three years experience in event co-ordination and good customer service 2. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of youth participation in the arts and social issues 3. Have excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking and presentation skills, and the ability to captivate audiences while being innovative and creative in approach. 4. Knowledge and experience of relevant child protection and safeguarding issues
