What will you be doing?
Voice Out Women (VOW) is a small charitable London-based organization whose mission is to support women in the fulfilment of their full potential in all walks of life through education, training, professional opportunities, community engagement and engagement in leadership roles. VOW seeks an experienced blogger who shares the organization’s values and mission. Blogging topics will include (but not be limited to) employment opportunities, interviewing skills, career development, parenting, ethnic diversity, local community issues, and local community engagement and leadership. She/he will mostly work remotely, and should be available for online meetings with the executive committee and other VOW volunteers. Ideally s/he will be London based so that s/he can attend occasional live meetings.
What are we looking for?
Essential
Good writing skills Good English – written and spoken A commitment to supporting survivors of abuse in their journey towards recovery Great interpersonal skills Ability to work cohesively in a team and independently Ability to use initiative
Desirable
At least 3 years experience writing for blogs Communications/Journalism background Experience working or volunteering within a Community Organisation.
