What will you be doing?
We are a local mental health charity who self-fund 50% of our mental health services for local people. Our largest service by number of users is counselling of children, youths and adults. The first point of contact for most clients is our telephone 'Helpline' which is operated during the daytime by volunteers. We are looking for people who have experience answering phone calls, listening and giving advice and performing reception duties.
What are we looking for?
Good interpersonal skills and non-judgemental attitude towards people with lived experience of mental ill health. Ability to communicate effectively. Good organisational and admin skills. Strong team working ethos. Experience in working in a telephone-based role, e.g. working as a receptionist, listening and giving advice. Full training and supervision will be given. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.
