It’s also a great way for you to gain experience working with young people, contributing to your own personal and professional development.
Support up to 25 students at a local secondary school (Age group 14 to 18) To regularly attend weekly board meetings (face-to-face or remotely) To provide advice and guidance on setting up and running a student company To facilitate an experiential learning opportunity To ensure students operate within the necessary legal parameters To support students to follow sensible financial management practices To support students to prepare for key events such as local sales events and competitions To support students to reflect on the skills they are developing
What are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who have experience in the business world- you need to have worked and have knowledge of how businesses work and are confident in communicating that knowledge to students. You may be in management, run your own company or have worked at different companies in lots of different roles. If you feel you have the experience and are keen to support young people- please get in contact.
What difference will you make?
Young people are the future and it is vitally important to equip them with practical life skills, such as confidence, organisation, teamwork and financial management. By supporting a Young Enterprise student company, you are giving young people the opportunity to be the very best they can be and to have the belief and self-confidence to excel in their adult lives. 91% of all students taking part had a greater understanding of the world of work and felt prepared for their future.
