What will you be doing?
Arun & Chichester Citizens Advice (ACCA) organisation are looking for a new Trustee to join our group as Trustee Treasurer. We are an essential member of our Local Community, supporting and serving some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the areas of Bognor, Chichester, Littlehampton and the wider Arun District. ACCA is a highly regarded and respected organisation with a diverse, dynamic and dedicated team of people delivering essential support to our clients across a wide and varied range of concerns. We are now looking to appoint a new Trustee to our Board of Trustees in the critical position of Treasurer. We will be looking for someone with all the key financial skills as identified in this advert, however, just as important we are looking for an individual who wants to be challenged, who wants to help grow and develop our Board, who wants to be fulfilled by the support and work they do as a Trustee and who is keen to ensure that ACCA continues as an essential part of the Local Community and the National Citizens Advice Group. Key Professional Skills desired:
Professional accounting, finance or similar qualification Strong understanding of financial management and reporting Experience in establishing and setting out strategic goals and direction in organisations Experience of providing Governance to organisations
What are we looking for?
Sufficient knowledge of financial planning and budgeting to fully participate in Trustee Board discussions on these matters. Commitment to the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service, including those related to equal opportunities, independence and research and campaigns. Commitment and availability to attend meetings of the ACCA Trustee Board and any relevant sub-committee and working groups Understanding of responsibilities and liabilities as Trustee and employer. Those with senior responsibility for finance would be considered for the finance sub committee Ability to think creatively and strategically, and to exercise good, independent judgement. Board-level communication and influencing skills. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
