What will you be doing?
We have increased our annual income from £800 to £20,000 in 6 months. We seek additional funding to cover:
Operational costs Staffing Our core activities, which include: facilitating access to university and vocational training for refugees, mentorship training for our mentors, distribution of laptops/smartphones/tablets to refugees and people seeking asylum and our employability programme.
What are we looking for?
This volunteering opportunity is open to candidates with fundraising experience. The pre-requisite skills and attributes are:
Track record of successful funds raised Experience writing proposals and liaising with donors Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Good remote communication skills (online meetings, emails and phone calls), Excellent writing skills in English Experience using Zoom, GoogleMeet or any other video conferencing software A passion for social justice and ensuring equal rights for all people living in the UK.
What difference will you make?
Your work will mean that we can scale up our current projects by helping more people and respond more efficiently to the increasing demand. It is also worth mentioning that we have only fundraised small grants from trusts and foundations and are now keen to fundraise from corporate and Major donors. You can bring your legacy to our charity by creating new funding streams.
