The Role As a Senior Engineering Manager at Busuu, you will be responsible for guiding the team on how to prioritise short-term firefighting with long-term initiatives. You will have a deep understanding on how to help data and analytics teams grow through mentorship and personal development. You will collaborate closely with Product and Stakeholders developing and driving the strategy and vision for your teams. You will also take accountability for the technical vision, strategy and processes adoption within your teams, supporting fellow EM’s to ensure alignment.
Job Requirements We are looking for a Senior Engineering manager with a strong technical background with experience in data analytics and data engineering. You should be able to bring a pragmatic approach to difficult decisions, balancing the needs of the business and the people involved. You should understand business context and how to use technology to solve business problems. You should be an outstanding communicator who articulates well whether speaking with an engineer or the CEO, and brings people with them with well made suggestions. You should be process orientated, constantly driving improvements through removing impediments and streamlining systems.
