Role Summary

  • Design and implement the People Data & Analytics strategy.
  • Enhance data structure and define reporting standards and cadence.
  • Develop people data dashboards with the Growth team using Looker.
  • Lead research on industry trends and become a thought leader in People Analytics.
  • Collaborate with various teams to translate business questions into data analysis.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Data Analysts.

Role Requirements

  • Leadership in data and analytics with a preference for People data experience.
  • Proficient in data management tools like SQL, R, or Python and visualization tools like Snowflake and Looker.
  • Strong partnership skills in translating business needs into technical requirements.
  • Expertise in managing large data sets and complex reporting.
  • Commitment to data quality and integrity with knowledge of GDPR and data privacy laws.
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment and influence internal stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Spearhead the People Data & Analytics strategy, including establishing data definitions and developing a People Data roadmap.
  • Responsible for improving data structure, publishing methodology for analyzing data and defining reporting standards and cadence.
  • Partner with our internal Growth team to develop people data dashboards in Looker and drive business adoption.
  • Stay up to date on relevant research, including industry trends and benchmarks, and become a contributing thought leader in the People Analytics space.
  • Collaborate with People Systems, People Relations, Social Impact, Growth and Recruiting Operations to understand business questions and translate into  streamlined and thoughtful data analysis.
  • Lead a team of Data Analysts

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are a strong data and analytics leader with preference to prior People data and People team background.
  • Strong ability to partner with internal technical stakeholders and translate business needs into requirements. 
  • People leadership experience
  • Experience managing and analyzing data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python and experience troubleshooting others' analyses and code.
  • Can manage large data sets and produce complex reporting and visualizations in tools such as Snowflake, Looker, and Workday. 
  • Can prioritize tasks from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uses structured, analytical and strategic thinking to solve complex problems and be able to influence internal partners.
  • Is focused on data quality and integrity, establishing regular audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Is able to operate with discretion around access to sensitive data
  • Has a working knowledge of GDPR and other similar global data privacy legislation.

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $142,000 and $150,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $165,000 and $175,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
