The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation dedicated to improving health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease, and climate and health. These challenges require the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

The role: As a People Services Assistant, you will be an integral part of our People team, playing an active role in helping Wellcome become the best place to work. This position involves responding to all queries raised with the People Service Desk and processing all administration throughout the employee lifecycle and across the Employee Value Proposition. This role ensures an excellent customer service experience for both employees and managers, and delivers service in accordance with SLAs.

Job requirements: The minimum requirements for this role include proven experience working within an HR Helpdesk environment with a focus on the customer service experience and attention to detail. Knowledge of basic HR policies & processes and proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) are essential.

Benefits: At Wellcome, we offer a hybrid way of working which includes 3 days in our Euston Road offices (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the remaining 2 days working either remotely or in the office. We are committed to cultivating a fair and inclusive environment, where everyone can be themselves and thrive. We offer excellent benefits and help our employees to develop in an open, respectful culture where differences are valued.

Diversity and Inclusion: Diversity and Inclusion is a priority at Wellcome. We work to ensure that our recruitment processes are as inclusive as possible to everyone. This includes making adjustments for people who have a disability or long-term condition.
