Role Summary

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closing.
  • Engage in full-throttle outbound activities including calls, emails, and messages.
  • Conduct dynamic sales meetings to educate prospects on the platform.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of full cycle sales experience, preferably in recruitment, staffing, or retail.
  • In-depth knowledge of the London market and a robust local network.
  • Excellent command of English and formidable communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and accountability.

YoungOnes operates a two-sided marketplace that allows businesses to find freelancers for short-term and often last-minute gigs. Last year, more than 40,000 freelancers found gigs through the platform and together they worked over 5.5 million hours. With a highly profitable business in the Netherlands (100 million in revenue), we’re now ready for the next step for our London team!

As a Business Development Manager, you will be in charge of the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing. This includes 100% outbound activity including calls, emails, messages etc. You will also be responsible for lead generation and qualification, cold calls and other outbound activities. You will hold dynamic sales meetings where you educate your qualified prospects on the product and processes. You will activate your clients extracting revenue and retain your clients by ensuring a great first experience. You will then hand over clients to the customer success team.

We are looking for someone with at least 2+ years of experience in a full cycle sales-related role in recruitment/staffing agencies or retail industry. You should know London inside-out and have a great local network. Strong communication skills in English are required. You should thrive on ownership and accountability and be willing to roll your sleeves up and experiment with new tactics. You should get a lot of energy from growing a business and be willing to test and experiment and are ready to think outside the box. You should understand that the real work in any sales-related role is in the follow-up and be willing to go the extra mile and further to close the deal!

We offer a salary of approx. £40K-£55K base depending on the seniority +up to £15K bonus.
