Role Summary
- Manage the loss ratio and underwriting footprint.

This role will sit in the Pricing Team, reporting into the Head of Pricing. The team is responsible for managing our loss ratio, underwriting footprint, broker optimisation and growth targets. We work in a very different way to most pricing teams that you might be familiar with. We all take ownership, move fast, innovate and deliver changes to our rates at high frequency.
As a Senior Pricing Data Scientist, you will be developing a deep understanding of Marshmallow’s quote, policy and claims data and use this to derive insights that can be used to enhance our pricing. You will be conducting claims analysis and claims modelling using SQL and Python, conducting price optimisation analysis/modelling using Python, building and deploying models in APIs for use in real time pricing, and working with other members of pricing to recommend changes and monitor their impact.
