Role Summary
- Work within a product team to automate and manage tens of thousands of insurance policies.
- Collaborate on technical scoping, estimation, and briefs to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Engage with the product owner to comprehend requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to writing automation tests and establishing continuous delivery pipelines.
- Support and monitor systems from deployment to production.
Role Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Java 8+ & Spring.
- Hands-on experience with microservices in a commercial setting.
- Proficiency in AWS and familiarity with Terraform.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a track record of dependability.

The Role As a Backend Engineer, you will be working in a product team enabling efficient automation for tens of thousands of policies, ensuring that we provide customers with affordable, instant, and inclusive insurance. You will participate in technical scoping, estimation and briefs, work closely with the team’s product owner to understand requirements, build solutions, deliver functionality, write automation tests and build continuous delivery pipelines all the way through to deployment, monitoring and supporting these systems in production.
Job Requirements We are looking for someone with 2+ years experience with Java 8+ & Spring, commercial experience with micro-services, commercial awareness of AWS, commercial experience with Terraform. You should be a self-starter who likes to take ownership, organised and can be relied upon to get things done.
