Sofar is creating space where music matters. Our unique live experiences provide a place for artist discovery, local community and connection in non-traditional, unexpected places across 78 countries and growing. Through our artist services, we provide tools and services for artists to directly connect with fans and build sustainable, creative lives on their own terms.

Our global Sofar team is deeply passionate about music and the work we do. When we’re not working, you can probably find us at a live show or telling anyone in earshot about the new song we can’t stop listening to. Discovering and supporting artists gets us out of bed every morning – and knowing that we’re creating memorable, intimate fan experiences worldwide drives our work forward.

The Role

We’re looking for freelance music event professionals in Dallas-Fort Worth to join a community of Promoters promoting and producing unique, intimate concerts focused on music discovery and building local community.  

As a Freelance Promoter, you’ll build a strong and thriving Sofar community in your city, curating and supporting local music. You’ll help to create amazing shows and grow the Sofar community, bringing your own creativity and hustle. This is an incredible opportunity for folks who want to start or continue building their career in the music industry. You’ll make connections, see the industry behind the scenes, and work with a team who is just as passionate about music as you are. We’re excited to hear your insights and on-the-ground perspective!

Our Promoters live and breathe music. They’re always on the cutting edge of discovering new sounds across genres, and have communities that they can easily tap to organize and promote amazing live events (including artists, locations, sponsors, etc.). They are super resourceful and driven – whether it’s figuring out how to promote an early-career artist or dealing with a live event curveball, they know how to get things done and thrive on the challenge.

*Please note that our Promoters are freelancers who earn commission-based pay. It will allow for a flexible schedule, but your activities will likely take place over weekends and evenings.
