What will you be doing?
As a voluntary trustee, you will serve on the governing body of our charity and be instrumental, alongside your fellow Trustees, in providing the governance that supports the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in the successful running of the organisation. You will help ensure it delivers its charitable objectives and long-term vision and purpose. The Board is ultimately responsible for the organisation's viability and legal responsibilities. Butterfly Conservation's vision is to have a world where butterflies and moths thrive and can be enjoyed by everyone, forever. If you are passionate about being part of nature's recovery, making a meaningful impact, and rebuilding the relationship between people and the natural world, we want you on our team!
What are we looking for?
The Board is seeking to reflect BC’s requirement for a skilled and diverse group of Trustees, and we welcome candidates with the skills and experience required to fulfil the responsibilities of a Trustee as detailed in our role description. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with relevant experience in the following areas:
Advocacy/lobbying skills Fundraising and marketing Environmental leadership Financial experience, particularly in the charitable sector
