Role Summary

  • Oversee Global Procurement and Supplier Management processes.
  • Act as a procurement subject matter expert.
  • Establish and nurture relationships across various teams and suppliers.
  • Guide procurement decisions and drive operational processes and initiatives.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a Procurement commercial setting.
  • Proven expertise in negotiating contracts across Technology, Marketing, and Professional Services categories.
  • Adept at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of external supply markets to provide expert business advice.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and organized approach to work.
  • Strong IT and database management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a dynamic, fun environment.
  • Procurement qualifications such as MCIPS or FCIPS are desirable.

The role

Funding Circle is looking for an Interim Group Head of Procurement based in London, reporting into the Group Finance Director. You will be responsible for supporting the Global Procurement and Supplier Management processes and will act as a subject matter expert for all things procurement. This will include forming effective relationships across multiple teams, levels and suppliers to guide them through procurement decisions and drive operational processes and initiatives.

Job requirements

Relevant experience in a Procurement commercial environment (8yrs+), ideally across multiple categories (Technology, Marketing & Professional Services). Experience with negotiation of contracts, including costs, payment terms, success criteria, etc. Experience in building relationships with business stakeholders of all levels. Understand the external supply market & translate into expert advice for the business. A team player who is driven, organised, confident in their approach to work & has the ability “to get things done” by using their own initiative. Strong IT skills, including database management, Excel, etc. Analytical and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities. Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment. Relevant procurement qualifications, such as MCIPS / FCIPS.
