About Marshmallow We started Marshmallow when we found out how unfair insurance prices are for people who move to the UK. We saw an opportunity to do things differently, so we made it our mission to back the ones who step outside the norm. Since we started, we’ve helped 100,000s of people get a fairer deal on their car insurance. Using technology, we serve people that are often overlooked by financial services companies, solving important problems for people who need it most.

The Role We are looking for a Compliance Officer with 2/3+ years of experience in insurance to join the team. Reporting to our Head of Compliance, you will help execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan and provide compliance advice to the business. Your responsibilities will include executing the Compliance Monitoring Plan, producing accurate monitoring reports, managing the incident reporting process, developing and delivering compliance training programs, and supporting the business in complying with its regulatory Consumer Duty requirements.

Job Requirements We are looking for someone with 2/3+ years experience working within FCA authorised insurance firms, a competent understanding of compliance frameworks and risk management models, and experience of data analysis and reporting on Compliance key risk indicators. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong drive to achieve and exceed all targets and deadlines, excellent attention to detail and organisation skills, and a collaborative approach and solutions mindset.

Benefits We offer flexible working, a competitive bonus scheme, a flexible benefits budget, Sabbatical Leave, Work From Anywhere policy, mental wellbeing support, learning and development opportunities, private health care, a medical cash plan, tech scheme, and 33 days holiday. We also have monthly team socials and company-wide socials every month.

Application Details Our Process is broken up into 3 stages: Initial call with Sophie Tucker - TA Specialist (30 mins), a skill-based interview (1 hour), and a culture interview (1 hour). We’ll let you know if you’re invited to an interview or not. To meet our regulatory obligations as an FCA-authorised financial services company, we need to do some background checks on all new hires. That means carrying out a DBS check and making sure you don't have any live criminal proceedings.
