Salary and Benefits: Offering £65,000 - £75,000 with flexible working hours, early finish Fridays, generous holiday allowance, and wellness perks.

Senior Consultant, Advocacy (6-month contract) 

Greenhouse is looking for an outstanding senior communications professional who is passionate about driving climate and nature positive action to join our team for a 4-month contract, with the option to extend after this initial period.  

Reporting to the Director of Advocacy, you will lead and support a portfolio of clients to deliver integrated communications campaigns related to nature-based solutions and climate finance.  

The Advocacy team works at the unique intersection of finance, nature, youth and policy. We help build movements, mobilise governments and, accelerate investment and action on the ground. Our clients include NGOs, think tanks, campaign groups and start-ups. 

The Senior Consultant will be responsible for developing and delivering creative communications strategies, impactful multi-disciplinary campaigns, managing high performing teams and supporting business growth.  

You will understand climate and nature-related issues, have multi-disciplinary expertise, and experience leading clients and teams. You will also ideally have a strong network with the ability to introduce potential new partners and clients to Greenhouse.  

We are looking for someone who is passionate about our issues and making a positive difference, who wants to work in a supportive, mission-driven team where wellbeing is paramount.  

Required skills and experience:  

  • Strategic communications planning: Proven experience developing comprehensive communication strategies tailored to clients’ goals and objectives. This includes running workshops, conducting and analysing research and data for a range of target audiences and developing key messages and an activation timeline for campaigns. 
  • Client relationship management: Excellent client handling skills and an ability to present and manage a range of stakeholders at a senior level. 
  • Specialist knowledge and passion for the work we do: Understanding and knowledge of issues relating to nature, climate and financial systems. Passion for making a difference to environment, community and the world around us. 
  • Integrated communications: Outstanding communications skills with experience leading both media relations and digital communication campaigns. Experience with reviewing written materials at a high standard and crafting complex messaging.  
  • Team leadership: Able to lead teams by providing direction, motivation, strategic counsel, setting of goals and coaching. Driven, ambitious, naturally curious and willing to contribute to the business. 
  • Business development: Experience of developing new business proposals and strategies, and existing relationships with stakeholders and influencers within the sustainability space. 
  • Commercial acumen: Ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and track KPIs. Experience with monitoring project finances, tracking team time and resources allocated to client projects, to ensure efficient delivery of campaigns within budget. 

Salary and benefits:  

  • £65,000 - £75,000 (dependant on location and experience). 
  • Flexible working: core hours 10am-4pm with 2-3 days per week expected in the office. 
  • Early finish Fridays (finish at 3pm every Friday). 
  • 25 days holiday (plus your birthday and office closure between Christmas and New Year). 
  • Additional paid holiday for Slow Travel (travelling via means other than flight). 
  • Weekly yoga classes.

Our Location 

We are based in London and Bristol with flexibility over where this role will be based. We operate a flexible hybrid-working approach, but you will be expected to spend an average of 2-3 days a week in the office.
