Description

A bit about Field

To reach Net Zero, we need to solve big challenges. Field will fund, build and run the renewable infrastructure we need to tackle these challenges. At Field, we will show that batteries are a totally viable part of our energy infrastructure - now, not in some distant future.

And, we have ambitious plans to become the defining new clean energy player in Europe over the next few years, gradually expanding beyond batteries into new asset types.

Field develops, builds, owns and optimises grid scale flexible infrastructure. We have recently secured £265m of funding from a top tier infra PE fund, and are set to build out the next many GW’s of storage capacity in the UK and Europe.

We are also developing our own optimisation platform, Gaia, and will be using this to operate our first GB asset from Q4 2024.

Overview

Field is building a portfolio of flexible generation assets, starting with grid scale battery storage. These assets will help decarbonise the grid and provide energy security. It is critical to be able to operate these assets as efficiently as possible, which is why we are building our own optimisation platform, Gaia, rather than relying on third parties.

Maximising revenue and carbon reduction from our storage assets is of vital importance at Field. We can do this by monetising the optionality / extrinsic value in our assets through the origination and execution of structured products.

The Quantitative Analyst will be the first hire within Field’s new Risk Management function, which will become a critical business unit within our company’s growth plans. This role will be the primary thought leader of the Risk Management function, driving the development of innovative strategies to fix revenues and better monetise our assets, from inception to execution.

This person will be integral in valuing the optionality within our portfolio and originating structured products. This will become increasingly important as the business and Risk Management function expands in the U.K. and internationally.

Working in a fast-paced and growing renewable energy infrastructure business, this role is an integral and influential team member in driving Field’s value proposition.
