What will you be doing?
This is your opportunity to bring your skills and experience to the running of The Woodfield Pavilion. The Woodfield Project is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, established in 2019, that aims to use the Woodfield Pavilion and the surrounding open land in ways that appeal to, and benefit, a wide range of users. Within this aim the Project seeks to engage with the diversity of its local communities and natural environment, promoting health and sustainability in everything it does. We also seek to develop the pavilion as a 'go-to hub' for people to share in culture, festivities, ideas, learning and well-being. We are revising our five-year Business Plan to take the Project to its second stage of consolidation and development, and we are looking for a new trustee and a new non-trustee volunteer to help make these objectives a reality. We are interested in candidates with the experience in building and asset management and who are ideally based close to (within a 5 mile radius) of the Pavilion. We are particularly keen to receive applications from candidates who may not have served on a board before, and full induction training will be provided. TWP is committed to diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination for all applicants. To ensure our board is representative of the area, we welcome applications from all candidates and particularly from Black, Asian and other Minority Ethnic groups, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and younger members of our local community.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for trustees and volunteers with skills and experience in building and property management.
What difference will you make?
New trustees and volunteers will be able to gain experience of inputting to and influencing a charity business plan, helping manage a cherished community building, as well as being part of a growing and dynamic organisation that is becoming an established part of the community in Balham, Streatham and Tooting.
