What will you be doing?
You'll be expected to have strong judgment, exceptional problem-solving, and the ability to offer well-informed legal advice across various areas. You will not need to be an expert in each area but be able to research and advise accordingly to protect the needs of the projects within the CIC. You will be expected to display sound judgment with outstanding problem-solving and communication skills whilst providing well-informed legal advice in a range of areas. You will not need to be an expert in each area but be able to research and advise accordingly to protect the needs of the projects within the Collaborative Health Community C I.C. Your responsibilities are outlined below, however, not all of these will be immediately required but there is scope to grow the role in some of these areas:
Interpret laws, rulings and regulations to give guidance on a range of areas – IP, data protection, commercial law, contract law, employment law etc. You will not need to be an expert in each area but be able to research and advise accordingly to protect the needs of the project.
Conduct legal research and provide informed legal advice,
Draft, review and manage different types of contracts and other documentation as needed. Monitor legal risk in documentation as required.
Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed – as needed.
Facilitate innovative solutions to any problems or issues that may arise,
Be the primary contact and liaison between The CIC, its projects, and our Pro Bono Law Firm acting on behalf of The CIC, and recommend changes to this relationship as necessary, from time to time.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the project, as well as external partners as required so they understand our positioning – balancing the need for a collaborative relationship but in a way that also protects the interest of the project.

What are we looking for?
Law Degree or related degree.
Qualified Legal Professional in UK Law
Prior experience in a similar role (paid or voluntary).
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
Articulate written, and verbal communicator, fluency in English is essential.
Previous experience of working for Charities and/or volunteer organisations is desirable but not required.
