Role Summary:

  • Lead Analyst in sustainability investment analysis.
  • Manage and update fund sustainability ratings quarterly.
  • Develop and enhance the online Impact Portal.
  • Lead sustainability analysis for the Wellth model portfolio service.
  • Network with influential figures in the sustainability sector.
  • Produce valuable insights and content for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on business development projects.

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' work experience, preferably in ESG/Impact assessment or finance with a relevant master’s degree.
  • Strong IT and Excel skills.
  • Proven analytical and research abilities.
  • Experience with senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of investment industry and financial analysis (advantageous, not mandatory).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit passionate about sustainability in capital markets.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, startup-like environment.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and resourcefulness into a wide (and evolving) range of responsibilities and activities, and relishes the challenges of working for a team that wants to remain at the forefront of developments in sustainability investing.

The role

You will be the lead Analyst for the organisation, responsible for the day-to-day development and progression of our sustainability investing analysis. 

  • Managing the quarterly update of our fund sustainability ratings, as well as the ongoing product development of our sustainability rating methodology
  • Developing the online Impact Portal, which gives advisers access to our ratings analysis, working alongside our web design and web development specialists
  • Leadingthe sustainability analysis and updates of the reporting materials for Wellth, our sustainability investing model portfolio service

You will have opportunities to meet a wide variety of influencers and supporters across the sustainability investing sector through your activities. 

  • Keeping up to date with sustainability assessment across the retail financial industry
  • Contributing to meetings with investment committees, asset managers and financial advisers
  • Participating in development projects across the business
  • Producing useful insights, and media content for our stakeholders
  • Collaborating with other members of our team, non-executive directors, and our wider industry network

Skills and experience

  • At least 2 years’ previous experience in a working environment. Ideal experience could be ~2 years in an ESG/Impact assessment capacity or ~2 years in a finance-related role with a master’s degree in a related field (Climate Change, Environmental Economics, Sustainability or Climate Change Finance) 
  • Strong IT skills; including high proficiency in Excel
  • Evidence of analytical and research skills with the ability to convert big data sets into useful insights and content
  • Exposure to senior stakeholder engagement, and good communication skills
  • Knowledge of investment industry and financial analysis of the funds would be an advantage but not essential
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion towards influencing the capital markets to mainstream sustainability investing, and on top of the latest developments unfolding in this space

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic ‘start-up’ like environment. Adaptable, effective, and resourceful in a varied role
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide range of participants (CEO to interns) and organisations 
  • Collaborative and able to thrive within a very small but expanding team, working independently as required demonstrating good initiative and self-motivation
  • A highly organised and efficient multi-tasker, ability to work to tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and high standards
  • Have the right to work in the UK
