ISSOS runs summer schools at the esteemed universities of St Andrews, Cambridge, and Yale, dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for international students. Role Summary:

  • Document the 3-week summer school experience through compelling photography and short films.
  • Capture moments in academic classes, outdoor activities, evening events, and cultural excursions.
  • Daily upload of photos to Facebook albums.
  • Create an end-of-session memories video and a staff lip-sync video.

Role Requirements:

  • Must be a UK or US citizen, or have the right to work in the respective country.
  • Cannot sponsor visas for working in the UK.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport.
  • Strong creative vision, communication skills, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Flexible, calm under pressure, and highly motivated with the initiative to work independently.

Benefits:

  • Full room and board provided during the summer school sessions.
  • Board provided during orientation; staff handle their meals.
  • Travel reimbursements and finder’s fees paid separately.
  • Travel reimbursement for St Andrews/Cambridge up to £150, and Yale up to $350 within the US or $500 from outside the US.
  • Additional travel reimbursement up to $150 for J1 visa embassy appointments, with J1 Visa and SEVIS Fee covered by ISSOS.

The organisation - ISSOS is an exciting company that runs summer schools in St Andrews, Cambridge and Yale. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and expect all our staff to share this commitment.

The role - As a Media Manager, you will be responsible for documenting the entire 3 week summer school from both the students and staff point of view through photography and some short films. You will be taking photos and film footage in classes, at outdoor activities, evening events and on cultural trips and activities. Photos will need to be uploaded to Facebook albums on a daily basis and film footage will be used to compile your end of session memories video, as well as a staff lip sync video.

Job requirements - To apply for our roles you must either be a UK or a US citizen, or have the legal right to work in the country you are applying for a role in. Please note that we cannot sponsor visas for working in the UK. You must be good with people and able to create connections quickly, have creative ideas and the ability to communicate and execute them, work well in a team and have a flexible attitude, stay calm under pressure, have clear and effective communication skills, and be enthusiastic with the ability to self-motivate and use their initiative.

Benefits - Staff receive full bed and board throughout the sessions, and board during orientation. Staff are responsible for their meals during orientation. Travel reimbursements and any finders’ fees are paid separately. Up to £150 reimbursed for travel to/from St Andrews/Cambridge and up to $350 reimbursed for travel to/from Yale if travelling within the US. If travelling from outside of the US, up to $500 reimbursed for travel to/from Yale. If we are taking you on the J1 visa, we will also reimburse up to $150 for travel to your embassy appointment. The cost of the J1 Visa + SEVIS Fee is paid for by ISSOS.
