What will you be doing?

We are seeking people with the specific skills and experience in safeguarding, finance, legal, scientific or health within either a private or voluntary sector, to compliment the balance of skills and experiences on our charity's board. We offer a comprehensive induction package including online training via the NCVO in all aspects of charity governance. We also particularly welcome applications from people who traditionally have had fewer opportunities to volunteer as a trustee and from people from ethnic minority backgrounds or heritage.   * Ordinarily board meetings are held 4-6 times per year, for 2-3 hours, on a Thursday evening by Zoom. There are occasional, additional working group meetings held via Zoom 4 or 5 times throughout the year, at times to suit the working group members. Additionally, we typically hold a 1-day board away-day once per year on a Saturday, with travel and accommodation expenses being paid by the charity.  Board members must comply with the charity's policies, including the trustee conflict of interest policy and volunteering agreement. Haemochromatosis UK is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee and so prospective trustees must be eligible to act as trustee and as a company director.    Application process Please submit an application and CV via Reach.  Short-listed candidates may be invited to an online interview in April (dates to be confirmed). Please advise at the time of making an application of any dates that you would be unavailable.    #LI-Remote
