What will you be doing?
We’re looking for the skills of an experienced photographer with access to the necessary photography equipment. Photographers will visit classes, children's hospices and events to shoot photographs of our sessions. In turn these photographs will be used for social media; as evidence to grant providers; and to share joy with our children and families, capturing the beautiful moments experienced in our dance lessons. You'll be fully briefed by Flamingo Chicks about what to record, but it would usually focus on the children in action, the joy, magic and sparkle of our classes which are full of movement, sensory props, colours, costumes and smiles! Working alongside our Flamingo Chicks' teachers and the setting you'll ensure to only photograph children with the necessary photo consent. Photographs will need to be handled carefully in line with data protection, edited, returned to Flamingo Chicks and then deleted from all devices/computers. Hours will be ad-hoc and as and when a need arises, but probably visiting one setting per month. The other area you could help with is photographing fundraising events which provide great publicity for us and generate much needed funds! You’ll be assisting our super small Operations team, our Flamingo Chicks Teachers and our volunteers, and by helping a great cause we hope it will be a very rewarding role. Please get in touch, it would mean a lot if you can help!

What difference will you make?
We now support over 7,500 children per year and over 35,000 children have danced with us since Flamingo Chicks started 10 years ago. Our online classes have been received with phenomenal interest and 20,000+ views since they were launched. We've had the most uplifting feedback and know our classes are a lifeline to many. We're working super hard to spread the message and reach even more people, so photography support which brings our work to life is more important than ever. Your expert skills will be invaluable to maximise the numbers of people who are seeing our work, which in turn will benefit disabled children and their families throughout the UK.
