Role Summary:
- Leading the quality and consumer care department.
- Implementing quality policies and managing departmental workloads.
- Advising on budgetary considerations.
- Overseeing product-related risk management for Wessanen Benelux's own brands.
- Upholding food safety and quality certifications.
- Handling incidents, issues, and crisis management.
- Providing technical product and supplier expertise to internal teams.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food industry.
- Expertise in HACCP, GFSI, Risk Assessment Tools.
- Knowledge of hot drinks, cereals, breakfast cereals, bakery, and confectionery manufacturing.
- Proven team management skills (with at least 2 subordinates).
- Understanding of Dutch/EU food legislation, supplier auditing, and authority interactions.
- Food Science/Food Technology degree.
- Organizational and change management, project management, and crisis management proficiencies.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; German and French are beneficial.

The role of Quality Manager involves ensuring the market quality of products sold by Wessanen Benelux and providing guidance to the quality and consumer care department. Key responsibilities include leading the team, managing the departmental workload, advising about budget, and executing Wessanen quality policies. The Quality Manager will also manage product-related risks for Wessanen Benelux's own brands, maintain food safety and quality certifications, manage incidents, issues, and crises, and provide technical expertise on existing products and suppliers to internal teams.
Job requirements include extensive experience (minimum 7 years) as a Quality Assurance Leader within the food industry, food manufacturing experience, knowledge of HACCP, GFSI, Risk Assessment Tools, and experience with hot drinks, cereals, breakfast cereals, bakery, confectionery. Experience of working with international teams and managing a team (minimum 2 people) is also required. Knowledge of Dutch/EU food legislation, supplier auditing experience, and experience in dealing with authorities is necessary.
Technical skills and knowledge required include a degree in Food Science/Food Technology, organization and change management experience, project management skills, crisis management skills, and fluency in Dutch and English. Other European languages, preferably German and French, are an advantage.
