Role Summary:

  • Support the publication of bestselling and prize-winning books across the Adult, Children’s, and Education sectors.
  • Report to the Head of Editorial Operations and enhance the efficiency of the publishing departments.
  • Develop and implement effective processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with Consumer business colleagues to optimize publishing procedures.

Role Requirements:

  • Understanding of publishing processes and systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with multitasking proficiency.
  • Effective communication abilities in both written and spoken form.
  • Preferred experience with Biblio.
  • High IT and systems literacy.

The Role We are looking for an Editorial Operations Manager to work across Bloomsbury’s Adult, Children’s and Education Editorial and Design teams to support the publication of our bestselling and prize-winning books. In this role, reporting to the Head of Editorial Operations, you will be key to the efficient running of the publishing departments and to the creation and implementation of effective processes and systems. You will be working closely with colleagues right across the Consumer side of the business to improve how we do things at every point on the critical path.

Job Requirements A good overall understanding of publishing processes and systems, excellent organisation skills, the ability to juggle a variety of tasks and prioritise effectively, clear, effective written and spoken communication style, experience of working with Biblio (highly desirable), a high level of IT and systems literacy in order to provide the necessary support to the publishing teams.
