What will you be doing?
This is a vital role to ensure the impact NABB has achieved since it's creation in 2008 continues to be delivered and further enhanced to deliver it's mission.
The role will help NABB ensure it can support it's member groups through leadership to the Charity and its Trustees, ensuring that the Charity has maximum impact for its beneficiaries. This will include a strategic view looking at services we currently offer and what additional services could be offered from the member groups by understanding the various geographical and operational aspects that affect each of the 32 member groups across the UK. Regular communication updates to the member groups to further enhance sharing of best practise, and identify opportunities for promoting the blood bike community through national media and other events to raise awareness and seek potential funding opportunities.
What are we looking for?
The role holder should have experience in the following areas:
Working within a charity's management committee. Developing new relationships and working with senior stakeholders. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Good self management and organisational skills. Issue resolution across a disparate community.
What difference will you make?
The role includes:
Stakeholder engagement, supported by a committee, at
Government, NHS, primarily pathology pharmacy and NHSBT Professional organisations e.g. Institute of Biomedical Scientists, and National level e.g. Media, motorcycle industry and associated groups.
Help develop best practise process and procedures through helping to provide a professional framework for,
Existing blood bike charity member groups, and Support the development of new blood bike groups.
