  • Role Summary:

The organisation - ISSOS is an international summer school that offers a variety of programmes for students. We are passionate about instilling a love for learning in our students and providing a safe and happy environment for them.

The role - As the Art Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a class of international students, 3 hours per day, 4 weekday afternoons, for the duration of the 3 week programme. You will be creating and executing interesting and engaging lesson plans and taking part in evening activities on a compulsory rota basis. You will also be required to contribute a short article for our summer magazine, The ISSOS Times.

Job requirements - Previous teaching experience is essential. You must have a strong background knowledge and skills in a variety of artistic techniques. Experience in teaching international students is preferred. You must be fluent in English. You must either be a UK or a US citizen, or have the legal right to work in the country you are applying for a role in. Please note that we cannot sponsor visas for working in the UK.

Benefits - We provide accommodation for all staff. Meals are provided in the halls of residence once students arrive, however, staff are responsible for their meals during Orientation. Travel reimbursements and any finders’ fees are paid separately.

Additional information - All of our staff must pass a full criminal background check. We provide full bed and board for you at our campuses, plus fixed payment. All staff are required to be on duty (on a rota basis) for evening programmes, activities, day trips and arrival/departure days.
