With a team of over 400 passionate professionals, we provide crucial sanitation services to nearly a quarter-million residents daily, while safely managing 20,000 tons of waste each year. Role Summary:

  • Leverage institutional and philanthropic funding to support our strategic goals.
  • Implement high-impact initiatives such as Results-Based Financing, climate financing, and Public-Private Partnerships.
  • Manage and develop the business development team.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key global partners.

Role Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in International Development, Economics, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a social enterprise, with a track record in partnerships and managing grants over $5 million annually.
  • Deep commitment to Fresh Life's mission and the ability to communicate its value to stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational, management, and strategic fundraising skills.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and strong communication abilities.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and drive performance in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English is a must.

Fresh Life is an award-winning social venture based in Nairobi, Kenya. We partner with cities to provide safe, sustainable sanitation services to residents living in urban informal settlements of Nairobi, Kisumu and Eldoret using end-to-end non-sewered sanitation solutions. We serve nearly 245,000 urban residents with safe sanitation services every day and safely remove 20,000T of sanitation waste per year. We have built a team of over 400 employees from diverse backgrounds who all embody the drive, creativity, teamwork, and passion that make us achieve our goals.

The Fundraising and Partnerships Manager will be responsible for raising institutional and philanthropic funds to achieve our strategy, as well as implementing organizational-level initiatives for Results-Based Financing (RBF), climate financing, and Public-Private partnerships (PPP) with the government. The Fundraising and Partnerships Manager manages the business development team and leads relationships with key global partners.

Job requirements include a Master's Degree in International Development, Economics, Project Management, or equivalent preferred. 7+ years of work experience in a social enterprise with a proven track record in building partnerships and raising and managing grants >$5 million/ year. A genuine passion for Fresh Life’s mission and effectively conveying its importance to potential donors and partners. Effective organization and management skills are crucial for planning, executing, and leveraging strategic fundraising opportunities and campaigns. Highly organized and able to follow through and prioritize tasks. Impeccable integrity and ethics. An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information, required fluency in English.
