Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • Must have a Diploma or first degree in Agriculture.
  • Willingness to work in challenging field conditions.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili.
  • This role is exclusively open to citizens or permanent residents of Tanzania.

One Acre Fund, founded in 2006, is dedicated to helping smallholder farmers increase productivity and improve their livelihoods by providing quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, and modern agronomic training. We operate across nine countries in Africa, serving 5.5 million farmers. Our Tanzania program, established in 2013, supports approximately 150,000 farmers through a network of agrodealer shops and local nurseries.

The Role: You will be instrumental in accelerating the adoption of Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) through our Lead Farmer model. This role involves assisting in daily field operations, localizing training materials, implementing monitoring and evaluation tools, and compiling field insights to refine program strategies.

Job Requirements: Candidates should have a Diploma or first degree in Agriculture, be willing to work in challenging field conditions, and possess fluency in English and Swahili. This role is open only to citizens or permanent residents of Tanzania.
