You will be instrumental in assessing and selecting the finest candidates for our Training Programme, contributing to a brighter future for countless students.

The role of Selection Officer – Quality Assurance involves assessing candidates for the Teach First Training Programme at application and development centre stage. You will use our rigorous competency based recruitment process. The Selection team design and deliver best practice selection models. We are committed to high standards and select trainees who will make a positive difference to young people’s lives.

We are looking for someone who can manage competing priorities and take ownership, whilst being solution-focused and work flexibly as part of an effective team. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with candidates, as well as colleagues, from a range of backgrounds. Excellent attention to detail with experience managing data systems is required, and a commitment to updating systems accurately, ensuring that team deliverables can be effectively monitored and quality assured. You should be analytical and objective with the confidence to speak up and express contrary opinions, providing sound rationale for decisions. A commitment to delivering a positive experience for all and championing equality, diversity and inclusion is also required.

All roles require that the successful applicant and Teach First make a joint application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a background check. This role requires a Basic DBS check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily exclude you from appointment.

This role is based within the UK. Teach First has a responsibility to ensure that every employee has the legal right to work in the UK. Every employee is required to supply the appropriate documents to prove that they have the right to work in the UK before and where applicable throughout their employment with Teach First.
