Teach First is a charity organization committed to building a fair education for all children. We believe in unlocking the potential in all children, not just some. Our work is making a difference every day, bringing us closer to a better future. However, we need your help to take on this big challenge.

As the Head of People Partnering & Development, you will lead a team supporting managers and leaders with the employment relationship across the organization and with individuals. You will lead our work on People Partnering, Learning and Development, Employee Experience, and Employee Engagement. Our People & Culture department delivers on our people strategy, providing our employees with a positive working experience. We manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring we recruit the right people, and then develop and support them to contribute to the success of the charity.

We are looking for someone who has significant experience in the people space and has developed innovative people solutions based on evidence and in line with employee and organizational needs. You should be comfortable managing complex employee relations matters and have significant experience in a Senior HR Business Partner or Employee Relations role in a large diverse organization. You should know how to build relationships with managers of all levels and understand the power of leadership and management development to create a consistent employee experience.

Teach First offers a competitive salary package, including a London Weighting Allowance for employees based in London. Our core benefits include 27 days holiday per annum, participation in the pension scheme via Salary Exchange (with an employer contribution of up to 6%), life assurance, income protection, and private healthcare. We also offer access to subsidised dental membership, health screening, discounted gym membership, travel insurance, Give As You Earn, and the option to buy annual leave.

We are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity and fairness in all areas of our work. All applicants and employees will be treated with respect within a culture where differences are valued, and rights are protected against disadvantage or discrimination related to age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnic background, disability, or religion and belief.

Please note that all roles require that the successful applicant and Teach First make a joint application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a background check. This role requires a Basic DBS check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily exclude you from appointment.

This role is based within the UK. Teach First has a responsibility to ensure that every employee has the legal right to work in the UK. Every employee is required to supply the appropriate documents to prove that they have the right to work in the UK before and where applicable throughout their employment with Teach First.
