With a focus on enhancing mental health, self-confidence, and social inclusion, we're looking for a passionate Head of Campaign Activation to join our dynamic marketing and partnerships team.

Role Summary:

  • Lead project management, delivery, and evaluation of Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign projects.
  • Collaborate with partners to innovate and expand the campaign’s reach.
  • Develop strategies to close the gender gap in sports participation.
  • Build and maintain solid relationships across the sport and fitness industry.

Role Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • A solid understanding of brand and marketing principles.
  • Data analysis skills with the capacity to make clear, future-oriented recommendations.
  • Proven leadership with experience in managing cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Strategic thinking and the capability to drive innovation and change.
  • Desirable: Creativity, lateral thinking, result-oriented approach, and the courage to challenge the norm.

At Sport England, we believe that when we move, we’re stronger. That’s true for each of us, and it’s true for our communities and society. We know that being active can contribute not just to physical wellbeing, but also crucially improve mental health, build self-confidence and be a positive force for greater social inclusion and community cohesion.

The Head of Campaign Activation is key to this mission. This exciting role sits within the marketing and partnerships team of the Digital, Marketing and Communications Directorate and will focus on reducing the gap between male and female participation in sport and physical activity by improving the way sport and physical activity are delivered to women and girls.

In this role, you will lead on the project management, delivery and evaluation of a portfolio of existing campaign activation projects. The projects all revolve around Sport England’s This Girl Can (TGC) campaign to build women and girls’ confidence to be active, regardless of shape, size and ability.

The role will involve working closely with relevant partners on ground-breaking innovation projects to bring the This Girl Can campaign to new audiences, and will require building extensive relationships across the sport and fitness industry.

Essential skills and experience include strong organisational, project management and prioritisation skills, excellent verbal and written communication/influencing skills, ability to work independently and be self-motivated, strong understanding of brand and marketing fundamentals, ability to analyse data from many sources, review performance and make clear recommendations on how to adapt for the future, line management and leadership skills, strategic thinking ability, and significant experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects with proven results.

Desirable skills and experience include insight focused and results driven, ability to be creative, think laterally and find new ways of doing things, a drive to make a difference, and confidence to challenge status quo.
