The role - The Grants Management Support Assistant is a full-time role (36 hours per week) based in our Loughborough office. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract for university students completing a placement year as part of their degree, not a graduate position. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in contributing to specific Grant Management projects, contributing to the development of new funding programmes, processing funding applications as part of the business support team, and supporting awardees and collecting / reporting on project progress. Specific duties can be tailored to the interests or studies of the student and could include work in the areas of audit, project compliance or fraud management.

Job requirements - You must be legally able to work in the UK as this is a paid placement. You must be at least two years into your undergraduate degree and looking for a placement in industry before returning to university to study for the final year of your course. Required competencies include strong communication skills – written and verbal, good attention to detail, ability to work well alone and as part of a team, excellent time management demonstrating ability to prioritise, and enthusiasm and self motivation for the role.
