This esteemed institution is inviting a dynamic individual to become an integral part of their Training and Development team.

Role Summary:

  • Design and implement digital training solutions with an emphasis on cyber security and general security awareness.
  • Contribute to the professional growth of the Museum's diverse workforce by aligning development initiatives with the HR Strategy.
  • Assist in the creation, promotion, and evaluation of both classroom and digital learning programs.

Role Requirements:

  • Achievement of or progress towards the Certificate in Training Practice, or equivalent experience.
  • Background in Training and Development, with a focus on eLearning or other digital platforms.
  • Current knowledge of best practices in digital training.
  • High proficiency with PCs, analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Capability to analyze, report on, and respond to data effectively.

The HR department at the British Museum is evolving. We recently signed off on a new HR strategy which aims to ensure that we provide first class support to the leadership and management teams of the British Museum and British Museum Company Ltd. We provide high quality strategic and operational HR advice to support the Museum in the growth and development required to meet a series of ambitious and challenging organisational strategic objectives. We also strive to ensure an excellent employee experience for all of our people.

About the role We now have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the role of Training and Development Advisor: Digital. This role will join our Training and Development team who provide effective support for management and staff development in line with our HR Strategy, through the design, delivery, promotion, administration and evaluation of classroom and digital development solutions for our diverse workforce. The role will have a specific focus on developing cyber security, general security awareness and digital training solutions.

Job requirements You will have completed or be working towards obtaining your Certificate in Training Practice (or you’ll otherwise able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills gained through experience) and your previous roles will have been in a Training and Development environment, with experience of designing and delivering training and particularly delivering via eLearning or other digital learning applications. You will need to be able to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of relevant best practice and you’ll also have proven high levels of PC literacy and analytical skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to evaluate, report on and respond effectively to data.
