Role Summary:

Role Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting and guiding junior staff members.

The role - Senior Patrons Manager In this dynamic role at the museum, the post holder will have oversight of the promotion and delivery of the Patrons’ Programme, to ensure objectives and agreed strategic targets are met. As a member of our esteemed Advancement team at the British Museum, the postholder will manage the Patrons team, reporting to the Head of CRM, and working closely alongside the Membership and Supporter Engagement team. As Senior Patrons Manager, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring that excellent levels of Patron retention are achieved.

Job requirements You will have thorough knowledge of annual stewardship programmes, have had experience managing client pipelines and be well versed in tax efficient giving mechanisms. To support you in this role, you would need to be equipped with IT literacy, be able to adapt messaging to individual donor motivations and understand the role of fundraising at the British Museum. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you will have excellent written and communication skills and have experience supporting junior colleagues.
