Role Summary:

The organisation - The British Museum Founded in 1753, the British Museum’s remarkable collection spans over two million years of human history and culture. The Museum is one of the leading visitor attractions and its world-famous collection includes the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon sculptures, Egyptian mummies, the Admonitions Scroll, and the Amaravati sculptures.

The role - Junior Analyst – Cyber Security In this role, we are looking for a motivated professional who can help develop and maintain the Museum’s Cyber Security capability while also ensuring that this is aligned with the wider department and overall Museum strategy. The post holder will also help make sure that the Museum remains fully protected, cyber secure and achieves the required accreditations. Key areas of responsibility include maintaining and testing recovery procedures for all critical systems, continuously monitoring on-premise and cloud-based computer systems, networks and applications, and helping deliver a programme of planned independent security assessments.

Job requirements The ideal candidate should be educated to A Level or Equivalent, with a clear understanding of Windows, Networking and Wi-Fi. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as being highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
