WaterAid is a dynamic and passionate international non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives by improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in the world's poorest communities. Currently, we are excited to be executing the RANO MAHARITRA project, a collaborative initiative funded by USAID, aimed at enhancing gender equality and social inclusion in Madagascar's rural areas.

Role Summary:

  • Lead the collection, documentation, and sharing of knowledge within the WASH sector.
  • Ensure the quality of capacity-building processes for all stakeholders.
  • Maximize the impact of the project by effectively disseminating lessons learned and results.

Role Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or professional qualifications in civil engineering, water and sanitation, or environmental health.
  • At least 5 years of experience in capacity building, training, and government partnerships.
  • Experience with USAID-funded projects, WASH sector knowledge, and partnership management.

WaterAid is an exciting organization that aims to improve access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services for rural households. We are currently implementing the RANO MAHARITRA project, a 5-year initiative funded by the USAID. The project is being carried out in collaboration with the government of Madagascar and various experts, with the aim of overcoming obstacles to gender equality, social inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (DEIA).

The role of the Knowledge Management Specialist is to lead and support the collection, documentation, and dissemination of lessons learned and project results to the broader WASH sector. The specialist will play a crucial role in capitalizing on these achievements and will provide leadership to ensure the quality of capacity-building processes implemented by all project stakeholders.

Job requirements include a minimum Master's degree in economics, institutional politics, political science, social sciences, or development planning from a recognized university, or professional qualifications in civil engineering, water and sanitation, environmental health, or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in capacity building and targeted training and partnership with the government (national, CTD, and STD) and public-private partnerships (PPP) is required. Experience in the WASH sector, familiarity with various stakeholders, partnership management, and project management funded by USAID is also necessary.
