Role Summary:

  • Steer the strategic direction and fortify the End Water Poverty (EWP) network.
  • Lead the collective campaign efforts at various levels, from local to global.
  • Integrate a decolonisation and localisation agenda to propel EWP's growth.

Role Requirements:

  • Dynamic and driven individual with proven campaigning and network leadership skills.
  • Practical experience in decolonisation and localisation approaches.
  • Experience campaigning on water and sanitation issues, preferably from a Latin America, Africa, or Asian context.
  • Capability to address community challenges on regional and global stages, collaborating with others in the rights, water, and sanitation space.

About the Team: End Water Poverty (EWP) is a global civil society coalition holding duty-bearers to account to realise the human right to water and sanitation. We have 150 members in more than 80 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and North America all working to ensure there is accessible, affordable and good quality water and sanitation for everyone. We run a 'Claim your water rights' campaign that creates tangible change for communities, holds duty-bearers to account and raises up issues to regional and global decision-making spaces.

About the Role: This is an exciting role where, EWP's Global Coordinator, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and strength of the network, as well as drive the collective campaigning effort of the network in its Claim Your Water Rights campaign at local, national, regional and global levels. This role will also lead strategic thinking and practical application of embedding a decolonisation and localisation agenda into EWP's direction and growth.

Job requirements: We are looking for a candidate who is dynamic, driven and able to bring their savvy campaigning and network leadership skills to ensure EWP continues to grow as a network and in its impact. They will also have practical experience of how decolonisation and localisation approaches are practiced. Grounded in practical experience of campaigning on water and sanitation in a Latin America, Africa or Asian perspective, we are looking for someone who is able to elevate key issues being faced by communities into regional and global spaces, working with others in the rights and water and sanitation spaces.
