The Social Change Group is comprised of the UK’s leading social impact agency – The Social Change Agency, the UK’s leading fiscal hosting service – The Social Change Nest CIC (SCN), and the Social Change Hive – our umbrella service for social change makers. We are a team of social impact experts using social innovation, peer networks, community organising, collaboration and systemic and organisational change approaches.

The role entails working with our senior leadership team and marketing function to implement our BD strategy. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing proposals and BIDS for work in a variety of formats dictated by clients’ requests, and managing the marketing and comms assistant. You will also be required to develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, including clients and partners and attend/run events and workshops where necessary.

Job requirements include excellent listening, communication and analytical skills, strong numeracy and financial modelling skills to inform business decisions, outstanding customer service skills, an understanding of marketing and sales techniques, and excellent pitch and grant writing skills with great attention to detail. You should also have an understanding of how the philanthropic and grant making sectors work in the UK.

The role will be full-time (37.5 hours/week) permanent contract. As we often work with volunteers, so occasional evening and weekend work will be required and compensated through TOIL. Occasional but limited UK or European travel will be required (by arrangement). We are open to exploring flexible working arrangements and supporting you to meet commitments you may have.

Candidates must be fluent in English. You must have the right to work in the UK independently, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. This role is based in London. We have an office in Kings Cross, London, and you will be expected to be in the office at least 2 times a week.
