What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities:

Content Coordination: Coordinate all content for social media campaigns, ensuring timely booking and availability of resources. Management: Maintain accuracy in content management for social media projects, promptly addressing any discrepancies that arise. Campaign Coordination: Assist in coordinating social media campaigns, handling necessary paperwork and logistics. Appointment Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of social media content creation appointments, ensuring efficient use of resources. Presentation Standards: Maintain high presentation standards for all content-related materials in the virtual environment, ensuring consistency and professionalism. Collaboration: Assist the communications & creative team in handling and facilitating requests for social media collaborations. Content Development: Collaborate with the communications team on drafting social media content calendars, strategies, and campaigns. Monitoring and Tracking: Support the communications team in tracking social media coverage, engagement metrics, and trends. Engagement Monitoring: Monitor social media channels for mentions, tags, and engagement opportunities, ensuring timely responses and interactions. Previous PR/Communications/Assistant or equivalent intern level assisting position is essential.  Experience in the charitable sector  Microsoft Office literate. Adaptability.

Creativity: Capacity to develop innovative content ideas and strategies to effectively reach and engage our target audience. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure high presentation standards and accuracy in content management. Collaboration: Aptitude for working effectively within a team environment, collaborating with other volunteers and staff members. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues, address discrepancies, and find solutions to challenges that may arise. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment. Empathy and Sensitivity: Understanding of the sensitive nature of our cause and the ability to interact with survivors and stakeholders with empathy and sensitivity. Tech-Savviness: Comfort with technology, including social media management tools, content creation software, and communication platforms.

By volunteering, you can help a survivor to heal from their experience and contribute to ending rape, sexual violence or abuse. As a Communications Assistant, you will play a key part in reaching those who may have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted. You can help build awareness to those who may feel vulnerable and help them to reach out to our service. You will be able to enhance your skills whilst contributing to a vital service.
