What will you be doing?

Working with their partners, England’s Community Forests planted 35% of all government funded trees in England last year (over 1.5 million) and trees will play a critical role in reaching our country’s 2050 net zero ambition, providing 25% of the necessary carbon sink. The work of England’s Community Forests is supported and enabled through 3 charities - The Community Forest Trust, the Mersey Forest Foundation and the Community Forest Land Trust. All three are looking for additional Trustees to join the existing Boards as our work ramps up. We are looking for Trustees with backgrounds in: - Legal; - HR; - Finance; and - Science/Academia Trustees will be asked to contribute half a day a quarter to support, enable and champion England’s Community Forests. You’ll also get the chance to spend time amongst the trees and to see not only the environmental but also the social and economic benefits of woodland creation and restoration. It’s a critical cause, really important work and we are making huge progress. Now’s an exciting time to get involved and do your bit! Piqued your interest? Thank you!

What are we looking for?

HR, finance, legal and scientific/academic.

What difference will you make?
