Embark on an exciting freelance journey with GFT Retail, a company at the forefront of the healthy snack industry with its brands Squirrel Sisters and Good & Honest. As a part of our team, you'll have the flexibility to work from home or our Surrey office, with the vibrant city of London as your primary workspace. This role not only offers part-time flexibility for 3-6 months but also the potential to evolve into a full-time position.

Role Summary:

  • Drive sales growth by securing new listings and boosting sales volumes with current retailers.
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Coordinate and lead pop-up tasting events to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Represent our brands at trade shows and contribute to creative marketing strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous records and provide weekly updates to the Sales & Marketing Director.

Role Requirements:

  • Prior FMCG sales experience is essential.
  • A proactive, disciplined, and self-motivated approach to working independently.
  • Outstanding people skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Exceptional organizational and reporting skills to keep detailed and up-to-date records.

This role offers an hourly rate aligned with the London Living Wage (£13.15), with the prospect of a salary upon transitioning to full-time. The Role: 

A 3-6 months flexible part-time freelance role at GFT Retail working mainly on our brands Squirrel Sisters (a no added sugar healthy snack bar brand) and Good & Honest (a better for you popped crisp brand)

You can work from home, but you will be required to be out and about most of the time in London visiting stores and running our pop-up events. You are welcome to use our office in Hersham, Surrey for any laptop/admin days.

You will also be helping to cover for our brand Squirrel Sisters while the co-founder is on maternity leave.  

There is an opportunity for this role to become full-time.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Growing sales for our brands – securing new listings and increasing volumes of sales with current listings. 
  • Building strong relationships with existing and new customers. 
  • Leading and arranging pop up tasting events with our existing stockists and arranging pop ups with any new stockists. You will also be required to participate in any trade shows we exhibit at.  
  • Coming up with creative ways to reach new customers and build brand awareness. 
  • Ensure that any stockists are displaying our brands in the best way possible. 
  • Weekly reporting to our Sales & Marketing Director: must keep a detailed customer spreadsheet while ensuring all store visits and leads are recorded and up to date. 

For this role you must:

  • Have some FMCG sales experience. 
  • Be proactive, disciplined, self-motivated and capable of managing yourself and your time efficiently. 
  • You must have exceptional people skills. 
  • Be very organised as you will need to keep detailed records of the work you are carrying out. 
  • Have strong and clear reporting skills. 

Hourly Rate - London Living Wage £13.15.
